I also adore how the starting Valks have handshakes they do with Kaitlyn Chen who seems to be the team hype man. degree of enthusiasm varies from player to play but it's, cute every time.
The pre-game ritual that I always think about is Michael Phelps' before he swims a heat/final. The hoodie, the head phones blasting rap music as he sits in silence, staring straight ahead. Then the arm flap right before he takes his mark. I'd say that's all chessmaster behavior- and it works!
